The Jèma vineyard
The "Jèma" vineyard is located in the village of Sant’Ambrogio, in the classic area of Valpolicella. The plot of 10 hectars, has a "Pergola Veronese" system with 3.200 plants per hectar. The rows
are strictly hand picked and grapes are carefully placed in boxes. In this vineyard only the healtiest Corvina is selected to grant the high quality production of Jema, who is exclusively produced with 100%
Corvina grapes. The soil composition is alluvial – morainal, with a first caolin layer followed by medium stoney one who grants a good drainage. The climate is influenced by the near temperate zone of the Garda
Lake and the fresh airstrems coming down from the mountains. The combination of the soil characteristic and the microclima, allowed an optimal cultivation of the vineyard and the phytosanitary and vegetative
status.
